About

ABOUT ME

straight headshot_edited_edited.jpg

I was 7 when my family purchased our first camcorder, starting my lifelong passion for filmmaking. By about the age of 11, I knew I wanted to make films as a profession.

Since then I've graduated from Capilano University's Film program with a Bachelor's Degree in Motion Picture Arts, and have been fortunate enough to have won awards at several international film competitions and festivals. I have also been sponsored by one of the world’s largest Gimbal companies to promote the use of their product in filmmaking, and my footage has been seen on Paramount Network television, Netflix, and my original films have been screened in theaters across the U.S.

While I love all aspects of filmmaking, my main focus is Cinematography. I love capturing moving images, whether they are naturally present, or they are something I can create with lighting and camerawork. Striving to make a project feel more “film-like” is very rewarding when it works out, and when it doesn’t I’m always happy to have learned something for next time. It’s a non-stop effort that keeps me growing as a filmmaker and a person, and I’m fortunate to be in a position that lets me focus my creative energy into making films.
